No News on Court Cases

I checked the notes at both the Superior Court and the Appellate Court, there are no new entries. I do know that they were supposed to be having a hearing at the Appellate Court on the 23rd, but it looks like that was just to present sides of the argument, as far as I know there is no new ruling as of yet.

I am still waiting for my due process hearing to be scheduled, so far, they are 20 days past their 30 day deadline.

Ms. Peters thank you for your email. I am aware of the painful disruption created by reducing and/or eliminating funding for services to children with disabilities. It is very easy for me to tell you that Democrats did not vote for the 09 budget fix and will not vote for a budget that inflicts greater pain to our disabled community. What aggravates the situation is that there are "stimulus" dollars that are available to the State but only at the request of the Governor (per the federal legislation, the Governor requests the dollars and appropriates them herself). I have spoken with the Governor's senior staff and I find their "still in contemplation" answers appalling. I thank you for your email and encourage to visit our website www.azsenatedemocrats.com Have a peaceful day.
